May 15, Fineko/abc.az. Switzerland supported all measures of the 16th package of EU sanctions against Russia, increasing their impact, Federal Council’s press service informs.

ABC.AZ reports that the new restrictions will take effect on May 15.

The sanctions include:

• Ban on the export of chrome ores, chemicals, dual-use and military goods;

• restrictions on the import of raw Russian aluminum;

• Expanded bans in the energy sector, including software for exploration and completion of oil projects;

• ban on cooperation with a number of Russian ports and airports;

• ban on construction services for Russian legal entities and authorities;

• Extension of the ban on air traffic, with the possibility of sanctions against air carriers from third countries.

It also introduces the possibility of filing lawsuits in Swiss courts against Russian counterparties and enhances the protection of Swiss companies.
