May 16, Fineko/abc.az. 16.5% of Azerbaijani companies are dissatisfied with the level of tax rates.

ABC.AZ informs that as part of the 2024 Business Environment Survey (WBES), the World Bank analyzed the opinions of 368 officially registered companies operating in Azerbaijan, regarding the tax system.

According to the results, 16.5% of the survey participants named tax rates as the biggest obstacle to their activities. This indicator is the highest among all the problems faced by companies, and defines one of the key areas for improving the business environment in the country.

Companies believe that the tax burden is disproportionate to their actual business turnover. This is especially true in the small and medium-sized business sector.
