May 16, Fineko/abc.az. Officially registered taxpayers express their dissatisfaction with the fact that companies operating outside the legal framework evade tax obligations.

ABC.AZ reports that during the analysis of views on the tax system of 368 official companies operating in Azerbaijan, according to the WB Business Environment Survey 2024 (WBES).

The report emphasizes that this situation creates an unfair competitive environment and weakens the position of official companies.

"In general, according to the WB, the tax burden is a priority area for strengthening the business environment in Azerbaijan. A stable, transparent and simple tax system will not only ensure the growth of tax revenues, but also improve the investment climate, reduce the shadow economy and promote fair competition," the WB says.
