Azerbaijan restores oil sales to Denmark after years

May 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has started selling crude oil to Denmark for the first time since 2020.

ABC.AZ informs, citing official customs data, that the Scandinavian country purchased crude oil from Azerbaijan in April 2025 with total volume of 88,150 tons for $49.69 million.

Denmark rarely becomes a client of Azerbaijani oil. There were no purchases from 2007 to 2020. According to the latest statistics from Denmark, this country receives oil mainly from the USA, Norway, Libya and the UK.

Azerbaijani oil was sold to this country in April at the price of approx. $564 per ton.

According to State Customs Committee’s latest data, a total of 8.2 million tons of crude oil for $4.563 billion were exported in the first 4 months of this year.
