May 22, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. will begin accepting applications for so-called "gold cards" in the coming weeks - residence permits in exchange for $5 million in investments initiated by Donald Trump.

ABC.AZ reports that according to Commerce Secretary Howard Latnick, the program will help reduce country's national debt. Nearly 1 million such cards are expected to be issued, which should replace the previous visa program EB-5.

The initiative was put forward by Trump at the end of February, but the program is only now being implemented. It should replace EB-5 program that has been in effect for the last 35 years, which allows you to get a green card in exchange for creating 10 permanent jobs.
