May 22, Fineko/abc.az. From May 15, Russians with Bank of Georgia cards will not be able to pay for purchases over 300 euros, dollars or pounds in luxury stores, both in Georgia and abroad. 

ABC.AZ informs that the bank explains this by complying with U.S., EU and UK sanctions. The restrictions apply through the Visa and Mastercard systems, which determine the type of outlet by the MCC code.

Earlier, the EU banned the supply of luxury goods to Russia over 300 euros. Since May 15, Georgia has also banned Russian and Belarusian citizens from re-exporting cars and special equipment, even to third countries.
