May 23, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet Ministers has approved the procedure for setting the minimum retail price for alcoholic beverages.

ABC.AZ informs that PM Ali Asadov signed a relevant decree.

The minimum prices will be calculated based on the volume of packaging and based on the average price provided by large manufacturers (from 60,000 decaliters per year and 30 employees). Prices are approved by the Ministry of Economy within a month and put into effect one month after approval.

If the cost price changes more than by 5%, prices may be revised upon request from at least 50% of manufacturers.

Information about new prices will be published at least 30 days before they enter into force.

Starting in 2030, new production thresholds will be introduced for vodka - 80,000 decaliters, starting in 2032 - 100,000 decaliters.
