June 10, Fineko/abc.az. In China, representatives of the gas industry are lobbying for the construction of new gas-fired power plants to increase demand.

ABC.AZ informs that gas consumption in China now accounts for 18% of the energy sector. By 2030, it is planned to build almost 70 gigawatts of new gas capacity.

At that, demand for gas has been falling in recent years due to decline in industrial activity, development of renewable energy sources and dependence on coal, Bloomberg writes.
For oil producing companies, which are increasingly using gas as demand for oil is also declining, the growth in sales in the energy sector is helping to offset the slowdown in heating and other areas.
