10:54 - 12.06.2025

June 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Senate of Kazakhstan has endorsed a law on the ratification of the protocol transforming the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization & Development (EFSD) into an independent international organization separated from the Eurasian Development Bank.

ABC.AZ reports that this is necessary because of differences in the missions of the organizations and to expand the Fund's capabilities - the use of national currencies, trust funds, technical assistance and macroeconomic monitoring. The Fund’s headquarters will be in Astana, and representative offices in other countries are possible. The reform will reduce currency risks and increase analytical benefits for Kazakhstan. The document has been sent to the president for signature.
