June 12, Fineko/abc.az. The powers of the State in the field of land relations regulation are being strengthened.

ABC.AZ reports that this matter is reflected in the draft amendments to the Land Code, discussed at today’s a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Regional Issues.

According to the draft law, in cases where residential buildings and multi-apartment residential buildings are being built on land owned by the municipality, on the site of residential areas destroyed or rendered unusable as a result of natural disasters, man-made disasters or military operations (with the exception of territories liberated from occupation), the allocation of land plots from state ownership at cost proportional to the municipality, is within the authority of the state in the field of regulating land relations.

According to the law, lands of the reserve fund of municipalities that can be privatized are transferred to private ownership by decision (contract) of the municipality, and lands that are in state or municipal ownership are transferred to private ownership by decision (contract) of the relevant executive authority and the municipality in accordance with the contract of use and lease.
