June 17, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2025, 96.8 million tons of cargo were transported by economic entities operating in the transport sector of Azerbaijan.

The figure is 2.8 million tons, or 2.9% more against the 2024 same term, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

The volume of goods carried by vehicles belonging to the non-governmental sector increased by 5.2%, and the share of this sector in the total volume of goods transported made up 77.9%.

In addition, the carriers served 849.8 million passengers in 5 months. This is 47.1 million passengers, or 5.8% more than 1 year ago.
