June 18, Fineko/abc.az. In the transport sector, the road transport with the largest share carried 750.4 million passengers and recorded a 6.8% increase in traffic compared with Jan-May 2024.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 95.6% of passengers used buses and 4.4% used taxis.

The number of bus user people increased by 7.1%, while taxi usage decreased by 0.2%.

The number of passengers using metro services dropped by 1.1% to 94 million people.

1,495,500 passengers were transported by air, or 7.3% more, 99.9% of transportation was carried out by state-owned enterprises and 0.1% by private enterprises.
