June 19, Fineko/abc.az. Gabala International Airport has welcomed the first direct flight on the Abu Dhabi–Gabala route operated by the UAE’s ultra-low-cost national carrier, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.

This route makes Gabala the second destination in Azerbaijan on Wizz Air’s route map after Baku and marks a significant milestone in strengthening the country’s regional aviation infrastructure.

ABC.AZ informs that the new route connects Azerbaijan’s northwest region with one of the leading aviation hubs in the Middle East, providing affordable and direct travel options for both tourism and business trips. Flights will operate three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Ticket prices for one-way trips start from $24.99. Tickets are now available on wizzair.com and the WIZZ mobile app.

To celebrate the launch of the first flight, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is offering up to a 20% discount on all booked tickets today.
