June 21, Fineko/abc.az. American electric car manufacturer Tesla is planning to open its first showrooms in India.

ABC.AZ reports that Bloomberg writes about this, citing informed sources.

Tesla is expected to open its first showroom in Mumbai in mid-July, followed by the opening of an exhibition hall in New Delhi. The first batch of the most popular Tesla Model Y electric vehicles has already arrived in India.

According to sources, the Modeli will go on sale in India at a price of just over $56,000 before taxes and insurance. However, they clarified that Tesla will determine the final price based on its margin and positioning strategy. For comparison, in the United States, the same model is sold for $44,990, and including tax benefits — for $37,490.
