June 24, Fineko/abc.az. Against the background of the work done on the National Cybersecurity Index, Azerbaijan's position in the international ranking covering 177 countries rose from 82nd to 20th place, and the overall score reached 93.76.

ABC.AZ informs that Vusal Gasimli, the executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communication, made the relevant statement at the next Exhibition of Finance & Technology (Fintex Summit) in Baku.

"In addition, in the direction of expanding non-cash payments, I can note that in 2024, domestic non-cash card transactions reached 78.9 billion manats, which means an increase of 6.9-fold compared to 2021. 64.2% of payments were made in non-cash form. I would especially like to emphasize that great progress has also been made in the field of e-commerce,” he said.

According to Gasimli, in 2024, e-commerce operations amounted to 66.5 billion manats, which is 69.6% more than in the previous year.

“At the same time, the number of transactions increased by 83.4% compared to the previous year and exceeded 1 billion,” he said.
