September 1, Fineko/abc.az. Russia and Iran have agreed on the digitalization of railway transport within the framework of the North-South corridor.

According to ABC.AZ, the new agreement on electronic data exchange regarding rolling stock will serve as a basis for the development of transport integration between the two countries.

Russian Railways and the Iranian National Railway Company signed a memorandum of understanding that establishes a legal framework for the automated monitoring of railway transport between the two states.

The document regulates electronic data exchange on the condition and location of wagons and containers on the territory of each side.
