September 9, Fineko/abc.az. Over the first eight months of 2025, AZN 202,030,600 has been refunded from the state budget to individuals and legal entities.

According to ABC.AZ, citing data from the Ministry of Finance, AZN 6,944,900 of the refunded amount relates to VAT reimbursements paid by foreign citizens for industrial and commercial goods purchased in Azerbaijan.

This figure also includes VAT refunded for medical services provided by healthcare institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice.

Individuals received AZN 124,683,200 in VAT refunds for services provided by hotels located in territories liberated from occupation, as well as for goods and services purchased from retailers, public catering establishments, and medical service providers, including private practitioners.

Additionally, individuals were refunded AZN 18,817,800 in VAT paid for residential and non-residential properties purchased through cashless transactions from construction service providers.

The total amount returned from the state budget for taxes, state duties, interest, and financial penalties already paid during the reporting period reached AZN 51,584,700.
