September 16, Fineko/abc.az. In connection with the Formula 1 competitions, Azerbaijan will receive tourists from 178 countries this year.

ABC.AZ informs that MasterCard's manager for Azerbaijan, Emil Zeynalov, said about this at a meeting with journalists.

He noted that Turkey ranks first among the expected number of tourists.

"It is noteworthy that this time the number of visitors from Kazakhstan has also increased. Our research shows that for tourists, accommodation, that is, hotel accommodation, comes first. We have defined a strategy for tourists coming to Azerbaijan. Since there are a lot of sights and historical villages in Azerbaijan, we must maximize our income from this. MasterCard is also ready to provide support in this area. As MasterCard, we are preparing the infrastructure to provide tourists with safer and faster purchases. I would also like to note that for tourists coming to Formula 1, the cost of hotels and restaurants has increased," he said.
