September 23, Fineko/abc.az. The countries of the Middle East are showing interest in fruits and vegetables grown in Azerbaijan, while the countries of the Far East are interested in processed products, including pomegranate juice and wine.

ABC.AZ reports that Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov made this statement on the second day of the first Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025), held in Baku.

"We are faced with the question of what to produce, where and how to sell. In this regard, we maintain close ties and negotiate with our partners - the countries of the Middle and Far East, the CIS, as well as the European Union. In these markets, there is a need for certain products produced in Azerbaijan. For example, Azerbaijan ranks fourth in the world in hazelnut production. We mainly export it to European markets," he said.

According to the minister, Azerbaijan's advantage is its favorable climatic conditions and investment environment.

"In addition, exemption from customs duties and taxes is one of the main factors of attractiveness for investors," he said.
