October 3, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani-Chinese joint venture Azerbaijan Energy Automotive Factory LLC plans to produce 300 electric buses in the Sumgayit Industrial Park by the end of 2025.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Elchin Kazimov, the press secretary of the Economic Zones Development Agency (under the Ministry of Economy), that 200 of them are designed for Baku, 60 ones for Nakhchivan and 40 ones for the Karabakh region.

The buses will be 9 m, 10 m and 12 m long.

According to Kazimov, the 9-m buses will be operated mainly in Nakhchivan, the 12-m buses in Baku, and the 10-m buses in the occupation-liberated territories.
