Over 140 million manats of VAT refunded to consumers in Azerbaijan in 9 months

October 6, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2025, 140.216 million manats of VAT paid for purchased goods and services were returned to consumers in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tax Service that VAT refunds were paid through authorized banks for goods purchased in the retail and catering sectors (with the exception of petroleum products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for medical services provided by individuals and private medical institutions.

In the first 9 months of 2025, the amount of VAT refunded from the State Budget for goods purchased by foreign citizens for personal consumption in the country totaled 7.928 million manats.
