Despite the decline in global trade growth up to 1.7% in the 1st half of 2025, the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States maintained strong position in international trade, making up 4.2% of global trade turnover, reaching a total of $701.6 bn. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have sustained trade surpluses.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the issue of the Turkic Economic Review for the 2nd quarter of 2025.

Azerbaijan's trade surplus amounted to over $920 million, and Kazakhstan's - $7.68 bn. Uzbekistan, as a whole, achieved export growth of 29.1% due to textiles, minerals and agricultural products.
