October 7, Fineko/abc.az. The main goal of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan is to prevent excessive borrowing.

ABC.AZ informs that CBA’s general director Shahin Mahmudzade stated about this at a press conference on financial stability.

"We are not against borrowing, it just needs to be in a healthy form. That is, someone who has income of 5 manats should not be given a loan of 6 manats. The measures that the CBA is taking in this regard are aimed at preventing excessive borrowing. Stricter measures may also be taken in this regard. The income of the population increased, and therefore the debt has increased. But this is lower than in the countries of the region," Mahmudzade said.
