October 8, Fineko/abc.az. As of October 1, 2025, there were 1,653,132 taxpayers in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the press service of the State Tax Service, that the indicator is 4.8% more than on October 1, 2024.

86.9% of taxpayers are individuals, while 13.1% are legal entities and other organizations. Over Jan-Sept 2025, the number of individual entrepreneurs grew by 4.5% and the number of departments, enterprises and organizations by 7.2%.

And the number of registered commercial organizations at the end of September was 7.8% more than a year ago - 200,806 ones. 91.9% of registered commercial legal entities are limited liability companies (LLCs), 1.1% - joint-stock companies, 1.1% - cooperatives, and the rest are created in other forms. In just 9 months of this year, 10,724 commercial organizations have passed state registration. Of them, 88.5% are with local capital and 11.5% with foreign investments.

85% of commercial organizations were registered in e-format. The share of e-registrations among LLCs with local capital in the reporting period was 96.3%.
