October 10, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2025, consumer prices in Azerbaijan grew by 5.7% versus the 2024 same term, including for food, beverages and tobacco products - by 6.7%, non-food products - by 2.6%, paid services to the public - by 6.8%.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this September, consumer prices increased by 5.7% against September 2024, including for food, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products - by 7.9%, non-food products - by 2.4%, paid services to the public - by 5.3%.
Last month, consumer prices grew by 1.1% compared with the previous month, including consumer prices for food, beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.8% compared to the previous month.
In September, the largest rise was observed on prices for beef and lamb, fish and fish products, eggs, sour cream, cottage cheese, butter, pears, peaches, walnuts, hazelnuts, cabbage, greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplants, string beans, beets, carrots, garlic, potatoes, black and green tea. The decrease was observed in the prices of lemons, bananas, apples, grapes, and onions. There were no significant changes in prices for other food products.
