October 14, Fineko/abc.az. After the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, the construction sector became the engine of the country's economy.

ABC.AZ informs that Ilgar Isbatov, deputy chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, said about this during his speech at the 30th anniversary Azerbaijan international construction exhibition BakuBuild and exhibition Rebuild Karabah-2025.

"After the complete liberation from occupation and the restoration of territorial integrity, the country has entered a new period of development and construction. For the first time, construction and installation works are being carried out simultaneously in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur on an area of 13,500 sq km. Internally displaced persons have already returned to 6 cities and 28 settlements, more than 50,000 residents live, work and receive education in Karabakh. This is one of the biggest achievements achieved in a short period of time," he said.
