October 15, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) and the General Administration of Customs of China have signed a draft "Protocol on inspection, quarantine and sanitary requirements for hazelnuts and almonds exported from the Republic of Azerbaijan to the People's Republic of China".
ABC.AZ reports with reference to AQTA that the signing ceremony took place during the visit of the AQTA delegation to China within the framework of initiative One Belt, One Road.
Thus, hazelnuts and almonds grown in Azerbaijan will now be exported to China.
During the meeting, the parties also signed a "Draft document on a mechanism for cooperation in the field of food safety during import and export".
In addition, the parties discussed issues related to the export of poultry meat, seafood, cherries, apples, persimmons and pomegranates.
