Bank of America's profit grew by 23% due to increased transactions and revenue

October 15, Fineko/abc.az. American lender Bank of America recorded a 23% increase in net profit in the 3rd quarter, while revenue grew by 11%.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the bank, net profit in July-September amounted to $8.469 billion, or $1.06 per share, whereas a year earlier it was at the level of $6.896 billion, or $0.81 per paper.

Revenue was at the level of $28.088 billion against $25.345 billion a year earlier.

The bank and its largest competitors have benefited from the revival of corporate confidence in large mergers and acquisitions. According to Dealogic, volume of mega-transactions worldwide reached $1.26 trillion during the reporting quarter, which is 40% more versus last year’s same term.

At the same time, BofA's investment banking fees increased by 43% up to $2 billion.
