October 16, Fineko/abc.az. Microsoft plans to move production of Surface laptops and servers outside of China as early as 2026, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Nikkei Asia.

The company intends for 80% of the server materials to come from other countries.

Amazon Web Services is also reducing its dependence on Chinese suppliers, especially in the field of components for AI servers. Google, in turn, is expanding the production of servers in Thailand. These steps reflect the desire of the American technology giants to reduce the risks associated with the aggravation of relations between the U.S. and China.
