October 17, Fineko/abc.az. Cooperation between the twin cities is being discussed between Baku and Tabriz.

ABC.AZ reports that Yaghoub Houshyar, the mayor of the Iranian city of Tabriz, made this statement to journalists at the III Azerbaijan National Urban Planning Forum (NUFA3).

He added that Baku has been declared a twin city of many cities around the world, and such a format of cooperation is possible with Tabriz: "Previously, such cooperation between Baku and Tabriz was discussed. We hope that concrete steps will be taken in this area in the near future. In accordance with the agreement of the heads of state, Cultural Weeks will be organized in the three cities. One of them will be held in Tabriz, and the other in Baku.»

Houshyar pointed out that the organization of cultural weeks will contribute to expansion of social and cultural ties in both cities, and the event is to be held next year.
