October 17, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, the debt of Azeristiktejhizat to Azerigaz is around 35 million manats, ABC.AZ reports, quoting the chairman of Azeristiktejhizat, Ilham Mirzaliyev.
He added that 91% of the cost of natural gas consumed by Azeristiktejhizat in 2025 has already been repaid, and the existing debt was incurred in previous years, before the price increase. No new debt is expected to arise this year.
The chair noted that together with Azerigaz, inventory of the debt has already been carried out and the debt in the amount of 35 million manats has been officially confirmed.
"We plan to use 33 million cu m of natural gas and fully pay its cost by the end of this year," he noted.
Mirzaliyev stressed that the issue of the debt of the organization he heads to Azerigaz has hardly been raised over the past two years: "Increasing our income as a result of the tariff increase will allow us to fully fulfill our obligations to Azerigaz. About 60% of our expenses are related to gas. Negotiations have already been held with Azerigaz, a protocol of mutual understanding has been signed and commitments have been made. We believe that in 2025, for the first time, Azeristiktejhizat will be able to pay 100% of the cost of natural gas consumed."
