By end of 2025, Kazakhstan to ensure 60% of Central Asian economy

October 17, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of 2025, Kazakhstan's share in the Central Asian economy will be about 60%, and country’s GDP will exceed $310 bn.

ABC.AZ informs that such data was provided by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin at a meeting of the Swiss Subgroup at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

"The results of the development of the national economy of Kazakhstan indicate a steady positive trend. This year, Kazakhstan's GDP will exceed $310 bn, which is around 60% of the Central Asian economy," the Ministry's press service quoted Zhumangarin as saying.

The economy of Kazakhstan is growing more than by 5% for the third year in a row, and in the first 9 months of 2025, the indicator has become one of the highest in the world and made up 6.3%, the minister noted. "In the medium term, Kazakhstan sets an ambitious goal to increase GDP up to $450 bn by 2029, which will require maintaining annual growth rates of 5-6%," the press service added.
