October 30, Fineko/abc.az. The production of syringes used in the medical field in Azerbaijan fell sharply in the first 3 quarters of 2025.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that Azerbaijan produced 45,844,800 reusable needle and needle-free syringes (4.961 million syringes (or 35%) less than in the previous year).

For comparison, in the same period of 2024, the country produced 70,805,900 syringes and in 2023 - 78,531,500 syringes.

The syringes are manufactured at the Diamed Co plant in Pirallahi Industrial Park. The plant with 50 employees is capable of producing 150 million syringes of various volumes of 2, 5, 10 and 20 ml annually.

In the reporting year 2023, the plant received sales revenue of 9.64 million manats, exceeding the figure for 2022 by 1.955 million manats.
