U.S. creates a club of countries for ‘fair’ trade in minerals

November 3, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. began to create a "club of countries" for "fair" trade in "critically important" minerals.

ABC.AZ informs that the American Secretary of the Interior, Chairman of the National Energy Council Doug Burgum made this statement at the opening of oil & gas exhibition ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi.

Over the past two weeks, six countries have joined the club, including Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Australia and Thailand.

Burgum noted that access to such resources is necessary for development of artificial intelligence and high technologies.

At the same time, starting on November 8, China will introduce export controls on a number of goods related to rare earth elements and lithium materials.
