November 6, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is likely to exempt imports of mineral and organomineral fertilizers from VAT.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the draft budget for 2026.

According to the document, the innovation is envisaged as one of the key areas of revenue policy for 2026-2029. Its purpose is to support business activities and reduce the tax burden.

The measure is aimed at increasing the availability of fertilizers for agricultural producers and providing the population with eco-friendly products. In this regard, it is proposed to exempt from VAT not only the sale of mineral fertilizers, but also organomineral fertilizers, as well as their import, if they are used as raw materials.
