November 7, Fineko/abc.az. Lukoil's quotations at the Moscow Stock Exchange showed a significant decline at the beginning of trading. The oil company's securities fell more than by 4%.
ABC.AZ informs that such a collapse occurred amid information about withdrawal of the proposal of Swiss concern Gunvor to purchase Lukoil's international assets.
During the morning session, company's shares fell to 5,223 rubles apiece. By 8:00 on Moscow time, the decline slowed down somewhat. The cost reduction was about 3%.
On October 27, Lukoil announced its intention to sell its foreign assets. The decision related to the sanctions policy of a number of foreign countries.
Three days later, information appeared that Gunvor Group Ltd. sent an offer to buy out Lukoil's international subsidiaries, LUKOIL International GmbH. The Russian company accepted this offer. At the same time, Lukoil announced its commitments not to negotiate with other potential buyers.
