November 7, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Metro CJSC has started negotiations with foreign companies about the purchase of more modern trains, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Aydin Bekirov, the chief engineer of the Baku Metro Depot Department.

According to Bekirov, speech is about the Czech Skoda, the Swiss Stadler and a number of Chinese companies operating in this field.

"These wagons will differ from the current ones in design and control system. After negotiations, an agreement will be reached with one of those companies to purchase trains. 120 more wagons will be delivered to Azerbaijan by 2030, and a total of 300 new wagons will be put on the line," Bekirov said.
