Azerbaijan's foreign exchange reserves grew 1.8-fold in 7 years

November 7, Fineko/abc.az. As of October 1, 2025, Azerbaijan's strategic foreign exchange reserves increased 1.8-fold compared to 2018.

ABC.AZ informs that Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Alekperov made this statement at a joint meeting of the Parliamentary Committees on Legal Policy & State Building, on Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption, on Human Rights and Regional Issues.

According to Alekperov, this figure exceeds the expected level of GDP according to current data: "This is a very important indicator."

He added that Azerbaijan is also carrying out large-scale work to involve the liberated territories in economic turnover: "In 2021-2025, more than 22 billion manats have been allocated from the State Budget for these works. These investments will have impact on economic growth in the future. In terms of steps aimed at strengthening socio-economic well-being and our statehood, this will remain an invaluable and priority investment area for us."
