November 12, Fineko/abc.az. Over the first 8 months of 2025, Azerbaijan exported 6,357 tons of plums and blackthorn for $4.1 million (47% more versus Jan-Aug 2024 in value terms and 32% more in quantity), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee.
Azerbaijan sold 6,022 tons (+31%) for $3.8 million to Russia (46% more than a year earlier), 114 tons (+90%) for $99,000 (+77%) to the UAE, 123,000 tons (+3%) for $69,000 (+13%), 55 tons to Ukraine (no supplies a year ago) for $53,000, 25 tons to Belarus (no supplies a year ago) for $34,000.
This year, for the first time in the last 14 years (official statistics are publicly available on foreign trade — until 2011), deliveries were carried out to Hong Kong (0.2 tons for $1,600), Mongolia (8.5 tons for $6,800) and Moldova (7.32 tons for $3,300).
In 2024, 93% of 5,600 tons of Azerbaijan’s plum and blackthorn exports accounted for Russia.
