November 13, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Department of the Treasury stated that this was irrelevant and expensive: a 1-cent coin was issued in the United States for 232 years. Despite the termination of the issue, the coins will retain the status of a means of payment.

ABC.AZ informs that the cost of producing one coin reached 3.69 cents, whereas 10 years ago it was only 1.42 cents. The last pennies were minted on the afternoon of November 12 in Philadelphia.
