November 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2025, consumers in Azerbaijan purchased goods worth 52.615 bn manats from a retail chain.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that the retail chain sold food, beverages and tobacco products worth 28.7 bn manats, and non–food products for 23.9 bn manats.

According to the SSC, retail trade in real terms increased by 3.8% versus Jan-Oct 2024, including food, beverages and tobacco products by 1.3%, non-food products by 6.7%.

In the first 10 months of this year, 50.4% of shoppers' spending was directed for purchase of goods in the retail chain were for food products, 4.1% for beverages and tobacco products, 14.3% for textiles, clothing and footwear, 6% for gasoline and diesel fuel, 4.9% for electrical goods and furniture, 2.4% for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, 1.4% for computers, telecommunication equipment and printing products, 16.5% for other non-food products.

For Jan-Oct 2025, on average, one person per month spent 513.8 manats in a retail chain, including 279.9 manats on food and tobacco products, and another 233.9 manats on non-food products.
