November 18, Fineko/abc.az. The cargo transportation along transport corridors in Azerbaijan for Jan-Sept 2025 totaled 24.154 million tons (a drop of 1.9% versus Jan-Sept 2024), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

According to the Committee, 10.555 million tons of cargo (-6.6%) were transported by rail, 8.8 million tons (+8.9%) by road and 5.589 million tons (-6.2%) by sea.

In addition, in the first 9 months of this year, the volume of cargo transported along East-West transport corridor reached 12.615 million tons (-1.2%), including 6.117 million tons (-6.2%) along Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor. Cargo transportation along North-South corridor amounted to 6.719 million tons (-4.3%), along the North-West corridor - 4.416 million tons (-3%), South-West - 402,700 tons (+44.2%).

Over Jan-Sept 2025, transit cargo made up 46% of the cargo transported by rail, 41.9% by road, and 94.7% by sea.
