November 19, Fineko/abc.az. Japanese car manufacturer Honda has decided to recall 256,600 cars from the American market because of software problems that can cause a decline in engine power and thereby increase the risk of an accident.
ABC.AZ informs that the relevant document is posted on the website of the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
A software error leads to the fact that the vehicle's control module can spontaneously reboot while driving, leading to a decrease in engine power. The automaker's service centers must reprogram the software free of charge and fix the error.
In June, Honda recalled 259,000 vehicles due to a potential problem with locking the brake pedal in some cars from a certain series.
