December 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan wants the European Union to become part of a new transport hub, including within initiative EU Global Gateway.

ABC.AZ reports that Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said this in an interview with EU Today in Brussels.

He noted that 15 million tons of cargo will be transported annually through the Zangezur Corridor, and the construction of the Azerbaijani section will be completed by 2026.

"Baku will be glad to see the EU in this new transport hub," the presidential aide stressed.
