December 12, Fineko/abc.az. For the first 10 months of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 160,223 heads of live sheep from Georgia for $16.497 million.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the State Statistics Committee, imports of live sheep from Georgia grew by $3.27 million, or 22.5%, in value terms and by 20,134 heads (by 14.4%) in quantitative terms versus Jan-Oct 2024.

From January to October 2024, our country imported 140,89 live sheep from Georgia for $13.47 million.

In the first 10 months of 2025, the average import price of one sheep imported from Georgia was $103 (approx. 175 manats). In the same period of 2024, this figure was $96.2 (around 163 manats). This means an increase of $6.8 (12 manats) or 7.1% against Jan-Oct 2024.

This year, Georgia retained its position as the main supplier, ensuring 55.5% of all live sheep imported to Azerbaijan in terms of quantity and 52.5% in value.
