Growth of 31% reported on money transfers from Persian Gulf states to Azerbaijan

December 16, Fineko/abc.az. The money transfers sent to Azerbaijan by individuals from the Persian Gulf countries increased by about 31%.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that excluding capital operations, revenues from this region grew from $49.4 million up to $64.5 million.

Revenues from the UAE for the first 9 months of 2024 amounted to $23.3 million, while for the same period in 2025 they reached $29.8 million (a rise of around 28% year-on-year).

Funds sent to individuals from Saudi Arabia grew from $15 million up to $19.9 million, with growth rate of about 33.4%.

Remittances from Qatar showed faster growth. $8.6 million in the first 9 months of 2024 grew up to $12.2 million for Jan-Sept 2025 (a rise of about 40.7% year-on-year).

Funds transferred from Kuwait increased from $2.5 million up to $2.6 million (a rise of only 4.4%).
