December 17, Fineko/abc.az. The European Union continues to freeze 120 million euros of aid to Georgia, which was suspended back in 2024 due to claims to respect for democratic principles and the rule of law.
ABC.AZ informs that the European Commission and the European Parliament believe that the resumption of support is unlikely in 2026 without obvious political changes on the part of the Georgian authorities and doubt the country's readiness to join the EU, despite its candidate status. At the same time, Moscow declares its readiness to normalize relations with Tbilisi while abandoning its anti-Russian policy.
