December 19, Fineko/abc.az. Ground tests of the first fully 3D-printed turbofan engine have been completed in China.

ABC.AZ reports that the design has been simplified to several modules: the number of key parts has been reduced by more than 40%, weight by 25%, reliability and efficiency increased.

The engine is to be used on drones and small and medium-sized civil aircrafts. Earlier, flight tests of a 3D-printed turbojet engine have already been conducted in China.
