January 15, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2026, 86.8% of the 1,674,984 taxpayers registered in the country were individuals and 13.2% - legal entities and other organizations.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the State Tax Service, compared with the beginning of 2025, the total number of taxpayers grew by 4.9 percent, including the number of individuals - by 4.6 percent, and legal entities - by 6.6 percent.

The number of commercial organizations registered at the end of December 2025 amounted to 204,065 ones (7.2% more than a year ago).

In 2025, 14,051 commercial organizations were registered by the state, including 88.7% with local and 11.3% with foreign investments. 85.1% of commercial organizations are registered electronically. The share of e-registration of limited liability companies with local investments was 96.5%.

92% of commercial legal entities registered by the state are established in the form of LLCs, 1.1% - joint-stock companies, 1.1% - cooperatives, etc.
