January 15, Fineko/abc.az. Saudi Aramco signed a long-term agreement with Commonwealth LNG (U.S.) on the supply of liquefied natural gas - 1 million tons a year with the possibility of increasing up to 2 million tons.

ABC.AZ reports that the deal strengthens Aramco's position in the global LNG market, especially in the U.S., where capacity growth is expected. Commonwealth LNG is building a plant in Louisiana, with gas coming from the Eagle Ford fields. The company aims to sell 8 million tons of LNG a year before the construction of the facility, and Aramco plans to increase capacity up to 20 million tons a year.
